Walker’s Farmer’s Market opens June 19 at Green Scene

The Walker Community Green Scene Farmer’s Market will kick off the summer-fall season Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and continue every Thursday through Sept. 25. 

Come for a load of fun, a wide variety of produce and lots of local artisan fare. 

Opening day festivities will include several fantastic door prizes from Green Scene and the farmer’s market vendors, live acoustic entertainment featuring Kristi and Jeff Kellogg, breakfast and lunch specials, fresh cold-pressed juice and smoothies offered by Green Scene. 

The Farmer’s Market is located on the grassy area at Green Scene Organic Market, Deli and Catering, (218) 547-2880 is located at 617 Michigan Ave, next to SuperOne Foods. 

In addition to the dedicated alumni vendors, the market will be bringing in new vendors, including Red Fern Farm Local Produce; Wollman Organic Coffee Roasters; Northwoods Candy Company Chocolate Confections and Caramels; Tower Gardens Vertical Aeroponic Gardening Systems; Stubborn Oaks Locally Hand-Crafted (with no harsh chemicals or parabens) Soaps, Lotions and Lip Sheers; Lisa Taylor’s Gluten-Free Baked Fare; Essential Oils and more.

Each week the farmers market will feature:
